What format is the guide?

A PDF. It is delivered as a download immediately after purchase and can be read on a phone, tablet, laptop, or e-reader, or printed.

Which language is it in?

English, French or Spanish — choose your edition at checkout. The chef specialties are published in English only.

When do I get it?

Straight away. A download link is sent to the email address you use at checkout, usually within a minute of your order.

Is this a recipe book?

No. There are some recipes in it, but the guide is technique-driven — the point is that once the technique is understood, recipes of every kind become much easier to apply.

Do I need to be an experienced cook?

It is written for people who can already follow a recipe comfortably and want to understand why it works. It is not a beginner's book.

What are the chef specialties?

Short pieces, each commissioned from a chef at a starred restaurant, each on one subject that chef has genuine mastery of. They are written by the chefs themselves, and they are companions to the guide.

Can I buy a chef specialty without the guide?

Yes. They are a great way to learn one specific skill on its own.

Do I need to buy the guide to join the Discord?

No. The Cuisine Étoilée Discord is free and open to anyone who cooks — join it here. What the guide adds is the Chef role. See the community page for what each tier opens.

What is included with the guide?

Ninety days as a Chef in the Cuisine Étoilée Discord. Chef opens the advanced plating room, the private chef channel, and #restaurant-recipes — where chefs share recipes from the restaurants they work in. Post your plate and have it judged the way it would be judged at the pass, get technique and recipe questions answered in detail, and see new specialties before they are published anywhere else. Your invite arrives with your download.

What is #restaurant-recipes?

A Chef-only room for sharing recipes from restaurants — the real ones, as they are actually written and run on a section, not adapted versions. It is locked to the Chef role.

Can I get a refund?

No. Digital downloads are non-refundable once delivery has begun. See our refund policy for the full terms, including the cases where we will still put things right — a link that never arrived, a file that will not open, or a double charge.
