What we sell
We sell digital publications: downloadable PDF guides on cooking technique and kitchen organization, together with commissioned written pieces by named chefs. Nothing physical is shipped.
Your purchase
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. When you buy from this site, your contract of sale is with Paddle, and Paddle’s buyer terms apply to that transaction in addition to these terms. Paddle collects payment, charges any applicable VAT or sales tax, and issues your receipt.
Prices are shown in euros and may be converted to your local currency at checkout. Applicable tax is calculated at checkout based on your location.
Delivery
Your file is delivered digitally, immediately after payment, to the email address you provide at checkout. It is your responsibility to give a working email address. If your download does not arrive, check your spam folder and then contact us.
Refunds
Digital products are non-refundable once delivery has begun. See our refund policy for the full terms, including how the right of withdrawal is waived and the circumstances in which we will still put things right.
License and permitted use
When you buy a guide, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to read and use it for your own purposes, including in your own professional cooking. You may not resell, redistribute, publish, share or upload the file, in whole or in part, or make it available to others. All text, design and illustration remain our property or that of the contributing author.
Contributed work
Chef specialties are written by their named authors and published by us under agreement with them. Views expressed in a contributed piece are the author’s own.
No guarantee of outcome
Our guides are educational. We do not warrant any particular result in your own cooking, kitchen or business.
Trademarks
Cuisine Étoilée is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or connected in any way to the MICHELIN Guide or Compagnie Générale des Établissements Michelin. MICHELIN and the MICHELIN Guide are registered trademarks of their respective owner. Star ratings referred to on this site are those held by the named restaurants at the time of writing and are subject to change.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Nothing here removes the mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live — including, for buyers in the European Union and the United Kingdom, rights that cannot be waived by contract.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here at the time of your purchase.
